Symposia, Conferences and Workshops

Leonardo/ISAST acts as an informal networking center through which artists and others interested in the arts can meet their peers, present work, exchange views and establish collaborations. This role is accomplished through local events and electronic forums, as well as through collaborations with individuals and organizations such as the Inter-Society for the Electronic Arts (ISEA), the Art, Science and Technology Network (ASTN), the College Art Association (CAA), Ars Electronica, and YLEM: Artists Using Science and Technology. Each year Leonardo/ISAST is involved in a number of conferences, symposia, lecture series and other events highlighting performances, exhibitions and discussions relating to art, technology and contemporary issues. The Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous (LASER) series, organized by Piero Scaruffi on behalf of Leonardo/ISAST, meets bi-monthly on Monday nights in downtown San Francisco.
